Beyond tax increases, the costs of raw materials (Gold Filled and findings) have risen by over 30%, while the quality of many mass-produced components has declined alarmingly, forcing us to discontinue them. At Ichiban, we have chosen to respond to these changes not just through price increases, but through innovation and respect for our craft. Here are the updates we are implementing for you:
- Independence and Quality (Handcrafted Earwires): We have decided to stop using imported, mass-produced leverback earwires, which had become unreliable and costly. We have created our own versions, 100% handcrafted in our studio. They are more secure, look flawless, and allow us to maintain strict quality control while protecting the final price. This change is being implemented gradually on our website, as it involves a laborious process of re-photographing and updating.
- Flexibility for Pendants: In response to the excessive price increase of Gold Filled chains, we have introduced a new option. You can now choose: Pendant without a chain (the most budget-friendly option), or one of the two available lengths, 45 cm or 50 cm. This way, you pay exactly for what you need without overstretching your personal budget.
- Our Commitment: Although these changes involve dozens of extra hours in managing the online store, our satisfaction is immense. We remain dedicated to authentic, responsibly made artisanal jewelry.

Important Information Regarding Your Order and Returns
At Ichiban, our respect for our clients begins with the guarantee of an impeccable, brand-new piece of jewelry. Since our creations are exclusively made-to-order, please review the following conditions that ensure the high quality standards of our brand:
Artisan Upgrade: To maintain the Ichiban standard of excellence, we have begun replacing prefabricated leverback ear wires. We have addressed the feedback regarding industrial models (such as mechanism oxidation or short posts that could lead to accidental loss) by creating our own secure-lock handcrafted findings, made entirely in our studio. As this upgrade encompasses hundreds of designs, website photos are being updated gradually. Your jewelry may feature these new artisan ear wires even if the current photo shows the previous model. This transition represents an increase in the product's value and durability and will be reconfirmed during our consultation.
In-Stock Availability: At Ichiban, "in stock" has a specific meaning for an artisan studio: the displayed number represents the quantity of premium materials reserved to create that design. It does not mean the product exists in a finished form. Each piece is handcrafted from scratch only after your order is placed and confirmed. This ensures your jewelry is freshly made, sanitized, and tailored to your specifications, requiring the lead time mentioned in the product description.
🛡️ The Ichiban Security Seal Guarantee (Return Policy)
To ensure that every client receives a brand-new, unworn, and sanitized piece of jewelry, all our products are shipped with a security seal.
Trying on the jewelry: Earrings, rings, and necklaces can be tried on without removing the seal.
Return Condition: We accept returns only if the security seal is intact. Breaking, cutting, or tampering with the seal constitutes final acceptance of the product and voids the right to return.
Integrity: We do not accept returns for products showing signs of wear, scratches, perfume scent, or cosmetic residue. Any attempt to return a worn product under the pretext of a non-existent defect will be handled according to our internal technical audit regulations.
💎 Personalized and Special Orders
According to current legislation (EU Directive 2011/83/EU / GEO 34/2014), products made to the consumer's specifications are exempt from the right of return.
Rings: As each ring is handcrafted specifically to your size after the order is placed, rings cannot be returned. Please use our telephone consultation service to ensure the correct measurement.
Custom Models: For personalized solid gold jewelry, the process begins with a Gold Filled prototype for approval. Once the prototype is confirmed, the final piece enters production and can no longer be returned or refused.
📦 Delivery and Responsibility
Order Validation: Every piece is handcrafted specifically for you. For this reason, shipping is only initiated after telephone confirmation.
Unjustified Refusal: Failing to claim a confirmed package causes material losses to the studio (manual labor and immobilized precious materials). We reserve the right to refuse any future orders from customers with a history of unclaimed or refused packages without a valid technical reason.
🏠 Studio Visits
We warmly welcome you into our creative universe, but exclusively by prior telephone appointment (1-2 days in advance). Ichiban is an active production studio, not a mass-market retail store. Appointments allow us to organize our workflow so that we can give you our full attention during your visit.
⚖️ Technical Details (Weight and Packaging)
Premium Packaging: We collaborate with a traditional German partner with over 150 years of history. Due to global supply chain fluctuations, box models may vary, but the protection quality remains unchanged.
Website Weight: The 0.2 kg value displayed on the website represents the average package weight for shipping calculation purposes, not the weight of the jewelry. The weight of the precious metal is specified individually only for Solid Gold pieces.
